³⁵ John was a lamp that was shining brightly, and for a while you wanted to enjoy his light. ³⁶ But I have testimony greater than John’s. For the works that the Father gave me to carry out, the very works that I am doing, these testify about me that the Father has sent me. ³⁷ The Father who sent me—he is the one who has testified about me. You have never heard his voice or seen his form.
